Day Ten - A Fantastic Concert and the Wheels in Motion

It's been a day unlike any others! Who else is pleasantly alarmed by the fact we're already into double figures of December!? Unsurprisingly, then, the pictures reflect that tonight.  But first...

Picture One: The programme of our fantastic concert.
It was a terrific evening and I'm such a proud teacher!

Picture Two and Three: Our Advent Calendars with ten doors open.
No chocolate, just the giddiness of watching as the nativity story heads towards its climax!
Orlando has treats in his - not the ones he should have because he doesn't like them.
I have to go through each day and put in treats he DOES like!

Pictures Four, Five and Six: Apologies for the arty nature of these - I get a bit carried away sometimes!
There is something extra poignant about the Advent Candle in a darkened room...
The little flicker of light as we move on towards Christmas, the festival of light.

Picture Seven: The obligatory Orlando picture - well, he had to be in it, didn't he?

Picture Eight: The chimney is now clear of rubble and the stove is arranged!
It won't be until 11th January, by which time this blog will have long since finished, but remember to look for it in next year's blog!
To get rid of the dusty smell we had to leave a smelly candle burning.

Picture Nine: Orlando was intrigued by said smelly candle (long since extinguished - don't worry!)

Picture Ten: And finally...
We don't really watch TV, and especially not at Christmas when there are so many other things going on. But we always buy a Radio Times. It's a link to a comfortable memory from childhood when we would all pile onto our parents' bed to vote for which channel (there were only 4 back then!) we would watch for which film.

24th December: The Final Preparations

Picture 1: Orlando has loved all 11 of his Christmases so far! Picture 2: And another crazy Orlando tail!  ...
