Day 7 of Quotes - Christmas Singalong!

This picture of a delicious yule log is from two years ago, but it's too yummy not to share!

Day 7

We have very set ideas about Christmas music. It starts in September with Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band then, towards the end of the month, Aled Jones. In the October holiday, we progress onto the Christmas Playlist, which is a mixture of carols and songs, usually when we're driving in the dark. Christmas songs are played throughout Decorating Day, until it gets dark and we move on to carols. We usually don't listen to many secular Christmas songs as it gets closer to Christmas because we replace them with carols. These fabulous quotes are from a few of my absolute favourite secular Christmas songs...

"There's a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy, when they pass around the coffee and the pumpkin pie."

            - "Sleigh Ride"

"Christmas future is far away, Christmas past is past. Christmas present is here today, bringing joy that will last"

  - "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"

"Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch, this is Santa's big scene!"

  - "Silver Bells"

"Over the ground lies a mantle of white: a heaven of diamonds shine down through the night!"

  - "Winter Wonderland"

"We've only just finished with "£1.50 for the guy, mister..." Used to be a penny in my day."

            - "What Are We Gonna Get for 'Er Indoors"

"Does your granny always tell ya that the old songs are the best? Then she's up and rock'n'rollin' with the rest!"

  - "Merry Xmas Everybody"

"Santa cutie, there's one little thing I really need: the deed to a platinum mine."

  - "Santa Baby"

This year we're sharing our favourite Christmas quotes from books, films, poems and songs. Hopefully, you'll be inspired by our quotes, and we'd love to hear some of your favourites too! You can comment with them at the bottom of this post.
