#300GoodDeeds - Day Six - "No Such Thing As Strangers When A Stranger Says Hello"

St Nicholas' Day today - traditionally a time when parents would place little gifts around the house for their children to find. With hindsight perhaps some of our good deeds ought to have been similar, but I didn't think about that until now!
Good Old Saint Nick!
(Or, actually, Dad.)

That said, here are today's six of our #300GoodDeeds:
  1. Orlando was at the bottle tidying again on his walk - he's on a One Pup Mission to clear Wick of bottle-shaped litter.
  2. An impromptu conversation with a stranger. A lot of our time is spent hurrying from A to B, but a dog walk is a good opportunity to meet people and pass the time of day with them.
  3. Sending a message of support to someone on Twitter. I looked for people who had hashtag-ed #FeelingDown and sent a virtual hug!
  4. My day has been mostly... making a poster for our Christingle service. This is a Big Deal, and I'm rather chuffed with the poster, if I do say so myself! If you're reading this from Caithness then please do come along to the Christingle on the 20th :)
  5. Flexibility in work. An accident on the road led to a long delay for a pupil who was coming this evening, so it was a case of reassuring them that if they arrived then great, but otherwise to just head home.
  6. C had a successful day, giving someone the support they needed to face something that has been upsetting for them in the past, with an eye to it being wonderful for them in the future.
Good Deed No. 4
Please do join us if you can - all are welcome!
